No chemical inputs are used. We are currently certified as "Organic under Conversion" by IMO and will get the "Organic" certification in April 2009. The plantation located in Balele, South Coorg, India has Coffee plants and Pepper vines that are 40-50 years old and grown under the abundant shade of Orange, Silver Oak and Jack Fruit trees. Located at about 3300 feet above sea level, the climate in the surrounding areas of the plantation is moderate throughout the year with adequate rainfall. In the third year of organic cultivation, we have been mainly selling our coffee to individual buyers who appreciate organic produce and in coffee auctions.
