PGEO Group is wholly owned by Wilmar International Limited, one ofAsia's largest integrated agribusiness groups. It owns severalfactories in Globell Resource SDNst and East Malaysia and through its associateoperates a refinery plant in Rotterdam. PGEO Groups main activityis the manufacturing of edible oils. Its activities are verticallyintegrated, beginning with the conversion of crude oils intorefined oil products to the marketing of these oil products inbulk, steel drums and consumer packs for the local andinternational markets. It has one of the largest refiningcapacities in the country with eight refineries in Peninsular andEast Malaysia. Annually, PGEO Group refines more than 4 millionmetric tonnes of edible oils and about 90% are exported overseas toIndia, China, EU countries, Middle East and Pakistan. In addition,PGEO Group is also actively involved in crude palm oil futurestrading, soyabean and palm kernel crushing, steel drumsmanufacturing, consumer packs, manufacturing of calcium salt foranimal feed and other downstream activities like the production ofshortening and hydrogenated products, cocoa butter replacer andother specialty fats. On top of that, PGEO Group has furtherdiversified into the renewable energy industry beginning with theoperations of biomass steam generation plants to supply steam,electricity and chilled water to three of its factories.Subsequently, it marked its presence in the biodiesel industry withthe commencing of a biodiesel plant in January 2007.
