However, as international concern for global warning took hold, Grainger has since 2006 shifted its emphasis to biodegradable products. All our products are made from corn starch, a certified biodegradable raw material, which biodegrades into harmless substances such as water and carbon dioxide under the compost process within 180 days. Conventional plastics need 200 years to compost. We currently produce several lines of biodegradable products, including cutlery, plates, bowls flower pots and so on.
