Haerim Fucoidan was selected as the exclusive recipient of the Korean government fucoidan project. Based on thorough appraisal of the management capability and technology of Haerim Fucoidan, the Korean government nominated the company as the exclusive recipient of the initiative and supported 60% of the production and R&D facility investment.

Haerim Fucoidan's advanced production facility and it's R&D center is located in Wando of Geollanam-do, a pollution-free zone and the core farming area of high quality seaHaerimfucoidaneds in Korea. The plant has the capacity of producing 10 metric tons per annum of high quality fucoidan and related products.

Haerim Fucoidan has three key competencies

First, the technology.

Haerim Fucoidan has the world class capability to extract core functional materials from seaweeds. It has the advanced technology to produce not only high quality fucoidan, but also fucoxanthin, an active carotenoid present in seaweed, Only 10grams of fucoxanthin can be harvested vs. 1kg of fucoidan. Haerim Fucoidan also produces sulforaphane from Broccoli and has advanced technology to develop other functional ingredients.

Secondly, the cost efficiency.

Haerim Fucoidan has a one-stop production system, streamlining the production process from ingredients to end products therefore substantially reducing the cost. Having the largest production capacity, it can offer high quality fucoidan products at highly competitive prices due to the economy of scale.
