Hagemeyer is a leading international business-to-business distributor of electrical materials and safety and other Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) products to electrical contractors in the construction and installation business and industrial users in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region (primarily Australia). HAGEMEYER MALAYSIA provide these materials and products through our core Professional Products and Services (PPS) activities under manufacturer brand names and also as private brand products under our own brand name. We also provide our customers with value-added integrated supply services, including procurement and inventory management, to enable them to improve their own customer service and increase their efficiency and competitiveness. Our markets PPS Our core Professional Products and Services (PPS) business services two main types of markets: The Construction and Installation (C&I) market The construction and installation (C&I) market, comprising primarily of small to medium sized electrical contractors but also including larger construction and engineering customers who purchase our electrical materials and safety products mainly for use in construction and renovation projects. The industrial segment The industrial market, comprising of large corporate customers who purchase our safety, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products in addition to our electrical materials for use in a diverse range of industrial and manufacturing activities. Our profile Hagemeyer is active in more than 25 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. In 2006, we achieved revenues of € 6.2 billion, of which 93% was generated through our core Professional Products and Services (PPS) business. PPS is the value-added, business-to-business distribution of electrical parts and supplies, safety and other Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) products to contractors in the Construction and Installation (C&I) market and industrial.
