Hasegawa International Ltd

Company Description

Hasegawa International, Ltd. was incorporated in Mercer Island, Washington U.S.A. in 1981. As a hardwood exporter, Hasegawa International grew rapidly and became the largest hardwood lumber exporter in North America to Japan in the mid 1980's. Hasegawa International maintained a dominant position as the company responsible for one third of the total hardwood lumber brought in to Japan from North America. Red Alder was the primary species and Japan's acceptance of Red Alder in a large scale made Hasegawa International Ltd business more special. As Red Alder became more popular in Europe, Hasegawa International expanded the Red Alder business. In 1990, we opened Red Alder remanufacturing factories under the name of New America Wood Products. At New America Wood Products in Winlock, Washington, we made various Red Alder furniture and housing components. Eventually, we moved the entire Red Alder manufacturing operation to other country to gain the economic advantages offered there, and changed the name of the company to "Benjamin-Morgan Brand." We are expanding our business by developing various hardwood logs and softwood lumber.
