Hiwave was founded in 1998 by Haewoon Lee, who had been working as an engineer in the various fields of electronics engineering such as RF/MW, broadcasting equipment and radio navigations.

Technology is changing rapidly. The first generation of personal radio, which you might have all forgotten about, was about the size of a shoe box. The cellular phone that used to be merely capable of voice conversation has now million times of traffic capacity, enabling worldwide communication at any time. Hiwave has been a leader in the market of such items as WCDMA transceiver, 5.8GHz/ ITS transceiver, components for the air force radars, cellular repeaters and UHF RFID reader module.
