Constituents of ?Godsend?(Guochen) cordyceps fruitbody and their biological activities

1.       Cordycepin

?Godsend? cordyceps fruitbodies have rich cordycepin with a maximal content of 4.28%.The only one nucleoside anticancer antibiotic naturally occurs.

2.cordyceps fruitbodies are rich of cordyceps polysaccharide with a maximal content of 12%.

3.cordyceps fruitbodies contain about 8% cordyceps acid which can reduce cranio-pressure, curve cerebral thrombosis and cerebral hemorrhage, deplete toxin and enhance metabolism.

4.       Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)

SOD can eliminate superoxide radicals and has the effects of anti-aging & anticancer.

5.    Crude Protein (CP)

The CP content of ?Godsend? cordyceps fruitbodies is higher than that of wild cordyceps.

6.    Amino Acids
