IC Blue is a focused VAR (Value Added Reseller) rather than a broker. Yes IC Blue Electronics can do the traditional style broker business, however our niche is working on selective lines with a targeted approach. Although not franchised, as we find this restrictive, we do buy direct from a number of manufactures in Europe and globally. This covers semiconductors, connector and a select passive range. We actively promote stock available to us from two of Japan’s largest CEM’s and a robust number of medium sized OEM customers within Europe which incorporates business sectors such as telecoms, multi-media, automotive and general industrial sectors so the product offering is vast. If we source our components from the open market we only use secure sources that have been visited, vetted and are fully aware of and adhere to our quality procedures, being ISO9000:2001 quality is paramount. All incoming parts are cross referenced to manufactures data sheets to ensure form and fit are correct, photographs are taken of all parts and packaging, parts are then scrutinised under a microscope with x200 zoom. Finally and if needed, which has only been once in 3 years, we XRF screen and perform a full electronic test. These measures are far beyond anything offered by franchise, who do buy from the open market also. We are a preferred customer to UPS who we use as our shipping agent. All packages being sent on a global basis are accompanied with documentation that clearly states harmonization codes and tariffs for timely effective delivery.
