Infection Control Online, a home grown Internet portal founded in 2000 by Mr Richard SIM, former Chief Infection Control Officer of Parkway Group Healthcare to provide infection prevention & disease control content and online consultation, announced today (14 Sept 2004) that it has launched a dedicated consultancy & training service on Infection Control Consultantdnesday, 21 September 2004. The onsite Consulting & Training Service named Infection Control Consultants, aims to provide onsite consultancy & training in all aspects of infection prevention and control to organizations and individuals. Consulting services will be provided by a team of consultants LED by its Principal Consultant, Mr Richard SIM, and supported by an advisory panel of experts. Infection Control Consultants has identified organizations that can benefit from its new consultancy & training service. Childcare Centers, Kindergartens and Nursing Homes where full-time infection control function is not readily available onsite can now tap into Infection Control Consultants to meet their infection prevention needs and health regulation requirements since infection control and disease prevention are important priorities in these facilities. Airlines, hotels, and healthcare facilities, such as community hospitals, tertiary hospitals & private medical clinics can also outsource their infection control function and tap on the expertise of Infection Control Consultants for specific projects related to infection control. Infection Control Consultants aim to provide a range of services that can be customised to address virtually any problem and issues related to infection prevention & control. A sample of our consultancy service includes: A) Evaluation and design of infection prevention programmes; B) Evaluation and design of infection prevention policies & procedures; C) Evaluation, design and implementation of hand hygiene programmes; D) Ad-hoc consultation on issues relating to infection control & disease prevention. Infection Control Consultants will seek and collaborate with strategic partners as part of its expansion plans to provide a broader spectrum of services in the area of infection prevention and control.
