Institute for Vegetable Crops has been founded in the 1946. Institute for Vegetable Crops Ltd Smederevska Palanka research and development organization. Our activity is Research and experimental development on biotechnology. Institute is registered for foreign trade and foreign services.

The main aims at the Institute, besides preserving the genetic resources of vegetable crops, are selection, breeding and creation of new varieties and hybrids resistant to economically important diseases and pests. Also, subject of study are physiology and technology of growing crops in sustainable environmental conditions.

We offer seeds of more than 120 varieties and hybrids.

We have arable land with the irrigation system, greenhouse and plastic house for growing vegetable; laboratories for plant tissue culture; phyto-pathological laboratory; laboratory for chemical and genetic research and accredited laboratory for seed quality control as well as phytotron chambers. The Institute also has all necessary agricultural machines, warehouse and machines for seed processing and packing.
