Terms & Conditions of III International Professional Mastery Competition
"Best Abrasive Blaster and Painter 2010"

1. General terms
Competition for professional mastery in abrasive blasting & painting, intended for corrosion protection of surfaces (further-Competition), is held by Uralgrit Group and supported by the Government of Moscow.
The purpose of the Competition is to enhance prestige of such professions as abrasive-blasting operator and painter, to maintain professional development of specialists in this industrial sector by means of sharing experiences, communicating and awarding the best of the profession, to demonstrate modern equipment and technology and to promote corrosion protection industry.

2. Date and Venue of the Competition
In 10-11, June, 2010. Moscow.
Participants will be informed about the exact date of the Competition later. Please keep track on the updates on our website Uralgrit.com.

3. Participants of Competition
Service companies' specialists are welcome to take part in the Competition. 20 teams of anticorrosive market professionals from Russia and abroad will be formed. Each team will include 3 (three) specialists: an abrasive-blasting operator, a painter and a serviceman.

4. Competition Committee
The Competition Committee consists of the most competent experts of anti-corrosive industry: belonging to such organizations, as FROSIO, NACE, EFC, VAKOR.

5. Competition Structure and Prizes
The competition will contain two parts:
Theory. Basic knowledge in anti-corrosion field to be examined.
Practice. Competing teams will show their professional skills on an industrial facility in the city assigned for surface treatment operations. These are to clear and paint the surface of a heat station's cooling tower with use of abrasive blasting equipment and painting unit. All participants will get the technical specifications: surface grade and coating thickness (All teams will be provided with identical sections of surface). Speed and quality are essential criteria to estimate the work done.

6. Competition fee
Competition fee is 1500 Euro per team.
Two meals a day within 2 days are included.

7. Supplementary program
The Competition will be accompanied by a professional equipment exhibition, master classes and tour & entertainment program. A gala night event for all the participants is expected when the Competition is over.
