At Quinta de Jugais Jugais have been making top quality jams, honey, Olive oil, Teas and condiments for the last years. Jugais is a company that use traditional methods to give to our customers high-quality, full- flavored jams that take you back to your childhood. Our jams are made from fresh, naturally dried fruits, we have resisted the temptation to cut corners by using tinned, concentrated or pulped fruit. We source as much locally as possible, doing our small bit to support local farmers and growers, and cutting back on food miles. Our aim is to use local produce wherever possible. We also specialize in seasonal preserves, bringing you a range of delicious jams and honeys made when the fruit and vegetables are at their fresh best. Quinta de Jugais seeks to operate with regard at all times to its environmental impact and to heighten awareness of environmental issues in its business operations. The Company has taken a number of steps to help it to operate more sustainably and to improve its environmental performance. We aim to continuously improve upon the measures already taken and to work with other organizations that can assist us in this process. Our policy is specifically aimed at the following areas:- Energy Consumption Recycling Waste We encourage our retail customers to return the outer packaging from our products for re-use. All of our cardboard waste is separated and sent for recycling. We use recycled paper in our office. Future Plans We plan to further improve our environmental performance by:- - Improving insulation in our buildings. - Recycling our glass waste.
