Keerthi Sarees was established in 1989 by a Keerthi Sareeaver&＃39;s family in Gadwal and has been a leader in the Gadwal handloom sarees for over 20 years. Keerthi is known for its service in providing the quality Gadwal handloom sarees to customers. Keerthi was started as a small wholesale business by a weaver&＃39;s family in Gadwal, a small town around 180 k.m. away from Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh in India. Today Keerthi has become a trademark in the wholesale and retail handloom sarees business with its traditional, trendy unique cotton and silk handloom sarees.Since we are also weavers, we are able to invent new ideas and designs constantly to add value to the traditional Gadwal handloom sarees. Experience and rich tradition behind us we have been able to master the art of intricate weaving. Today Keerthi is reputed for its innovatively designed quality Cotton, Sico, Silk and many other varieties of sarees with more than 100 weaver&＃39;s production in Gadwal. All the sarees at Keerthi are weaved by our expert handloom weavers.Gadwal Sarees are traditionally woven in the interlocked-weft technique (called kupadam or tippadamu locally) often with kumbam (also called kotakomma) in the borders and such sarees are known as a kotakomma or kumbam sarees. Most popular varieties in these sarees include Cotton, Sico and Silk sarees. Cotton Sarees are made of purely unbleached cotton. These sarees have resplendent shades, embellished often with silk checks. The Sico sarees are weaved with the mix of Silk and Cotton (50% and 50% mostly). The Silk sarees are purely made using the complete silk (called pattu locally).
