Company Description

Latin Crops is a company created with the objective of developing and producing non-traditional crops through the investigation and the improvement of agricultural techniques. For their characteristics and qualities, these crops have become foods that occupy a fundamental place in the diets of the world, being cataloged as SUPERFOODS.

Today, LATIN CROPS SAS main focus is the production of CHIA (Salvia hispanica L), an herbaceous plant of the family of the Lamiaceae. It is the richest vegetable source in essential Omega-3 fatty acids, and has a very high content of dietary fiber, proteins and antioxidants.

Established with the objective of producing in South America most suitable lands for this type of crops, the priority of Latin Crops is to provide the consumer with a safe and reliable product, produced under the highest quality standards making available all the benefits and advantages from the chia seeds.

In this search for excellence we looked for high yields of production, therefore optimizing the available resources.

As a result of years of investigation aimed towards improving people quality of life, engineer Ricardo Ayerza (h), Technical Director of Latin Crops, has precisely been the propellant and re-discoverer of a lost crop like CHIA that is revolutionizing all diets around the world.
