Company Description

MEDA Co., Ltd, with registered capital of 15 Million RMB, was founded in 2004. Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Tianjin Pharmaceutical Holdings Ltd and part of professional experts (Natural person) are the shareholders of the company. The enterprise has passed the German TUV certification and obtained the quality management system of ISO13485: 2003. Ultrasonic ophthalmology products have obtained the CE certificates and have passed the FDA approval. MEDA has won the Prize for Progress in Science and Technology awarded by Nation, Ministry of Health and Tianjin government in the field of ophthalmology ultrasonic diagnostics and treatment. Funded by Ministry of Science and Technology and Tianjin minor enterprise innovation funds, MEDA has realized the achievement transformation and have gained the rapid development. The products have replaced the same foreign products and have been applied in all ranks of domestic hospitals, which have occupied 70% market of in-use clinical devices. Meanwhile, the products have been exported to over 50 countries and territories. In 2008, approved by NDRC (National Development and Reform Committee), the project of ophthalmology ultrasonic diagnostics and treatment has been listed into the specialization of National Biomedical Engineering High-Tech Industrialization Demonstration Project. In 2009, this project has also been listed into Tianjin Independent Innovation Major Industrialization Project. Compared with foreign products, MEDA ophthalmology ultrasonic diagnostics and treatment technology has already achieved the same developing level. Meanwhile, MEDA has owned all the intellectual properties of its products.
