METAD is registered with the Ministry of Trade and a member of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce Sectoral Association. METAD Agricultural Development Plcffiliated with a wide range of companies, providing us access to certified warehouses and processing plants, private and state growers, including co-operative unions, a retail outlet via Kabu Coffee, PLC, a coffee roasting facility, logistics companies to handle our customer shipments, as well as companies with seats at the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX). Since the 1950’s, three generations of our family had been in the coffee and agriculture business, with our family coffee operations beginning in the Harrar region. Our family history and strong commitment to the people and betterment of Ethiopia compel us to only work with the farmers and buyers that share our beliefs of our core commitment – to grow the best organic coffees in the world with a focus on transparency, sustainability, and traceability. In addition, METAD also buys coffees from other growers and providers via the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX) for export.
