'Metalliceskaya upakovka' LLC was founded by a group of entrepreneurs in Kaliningrad city. The same year the construction of the tin-can production line begun. Can line assembling started.
Can bodies and ends for fish canned goods production started.
First lacquering line starts

The Company has lead the development of the metal packaging industry in Russia and was first to introduce necked Metarus Grouplded cans with high quality printing and easy-open ends to the market
Grown organically into a leading Russian producer of a wide range of food cans and closures:
Three-piece cans
Sanitary and easy-open ends
Twist-off type caps
The company also offers lacquering and printing services
Installed capacity allows the company to produce 500m cans, 600m easy-open ends and 400m twist-off type caps per annum.
Metarus has two substantial production facilities in Russia, located in Kaliningrad and the Krasnodar region
The company's locations are strategically important for the Russian food industry (Kaliningrad for seafood and Krasnodar for vegetables). This allows Metarus to be close to major fillers and within easy reach of industrialized regions
The company is equipped with modern production machinery and is focused on maintaining an efficient manufacturing process.
