Company Description

Modi Industries Limited commenced its business by the name of Modi Sugar Mills Limited which was promoted in the year 1932 and subsequently changed its name to Modi Industries Limited (MIL) on 17th January, 1964. Over the years, MIL grew into a multi-unit company. At present the MIL consists of nine manufacturing units namely Modi Vanaspati Mfg. Co., Modi Paint & Varnish Works, Modi Arc Electrodes Company, Modi Gas & Chemicals, Modi Soap Works, Modi Lantern Works, Modi Sugar Mills, Modi Distillery and Modi Steels.

The MODI ARC ELECTRODES CO.lding Business of Modi Industries Limited (Group MKM) headed and promoted by Dr. M.K. Modi, has been at the forefront of welding technology in India for over four decades. The welding business of Group MKM encompasses two companies namely The Modi Arc Electrodes Company, incorporated in 1962, housed in Apx 15000 Sq. Meters area, is located on outskirts of Delhi, and The Weld Excel India Limited, Ludhiana (Punjab). Both the companies, having ISO 9001-2008 and DNV certification, have been engaged in meeting the exacting welding requirements of the clients / industries, especially in the Energy sector, Petro- Chemicals, Infrastructure sector, Ship Building, Railways, Sea Ports, Airports, Road Construction and the like.
