Company Description

Multivia, established on July 14th 2000, is an IT venture company that has developed advanced video compression software to be used in monitoring systems and in communication fields.

As of March 2001, Multivia was able to sell licenses to DVR technology companies. Multivia Co., Ltd. were able to promote our solutions to the telecommunication market by offering a variety of mobile solutions such as M-MVIA (Mobile Codec Solution), MVIACIS (Mobile/PDA DVR Solution), and SMC-1000 (Phone/PDA Home DVR). Multivia pursues to achieve excellence and gain recognition in the market place.

The Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Evaluation and Planning has acknowledged Multivia to have superior technology. In addition, in 2001, the Daily Economic News named Multivia one of the best venture companies in Korea.

We have been granted several patents. These include encoding and decoding algorithm by content for multimedia, encoding and decoding method for color still image, encoding and decoding system for image data such as E-Book.

In March 2003, Serom Venture Capital Company decided to invest in Multivia to support its growth in developing state of the art technologies for image processing. Our codec was integrated into relevant applications and thus created new business models. In return, these new models created new applications that provided various services to the public. We support these services and contribute to developing advanced technologies.

Multivia strives to participate in the global market. Currently, we are concentrating on providing mobile solutions to our customers. We hope to continue to serve our clients and give them the satisfaction from using our unique technology.
