Munawar Industrial Enterprises started business in 1985 as an active member of All Pakistan Fruits and vegetable, Exporters Importers and Merchants Association and associate member of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, mainly dealing in Dehydrated Fruits & Vegetables, Processed and peeled Dry Fruits, collection of wild grown Medicinal & Perfumery Herbs, Sea buckthorn and Other Food items. Exports are mostly to European Countries as Munawar Industrial Enterprisesll to Middle East Countries. Sea buckthorn (SBT) has been designated as Millennium plant in Pakistan. Its fruit is the main functional component and is rich in carbohydrates, protein, organic acids, amino acids and vitamins. On an average the 100 g of fruit contains 16-28 mg carotenoids, 120-2100 mg flavonoids, 250-360 mg vitamin C, 202.9 mg Vitamin E and 248.9 mg �?�²-Carotene and 36 mg of volatile oil. It is also high in protein, especially Globulins and Albumins, and fatty acids such as linoleic and linolenic acids. Different food products like pulp, juice, jam, squash & oil etc., have proven excellent therapeutic and chemo-preventive properties.
