Founded in 1937, Shenyang Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd (the former Shenyang Heavy Machinery Plant) , which is called “the Cradle of China heavy Machinery Industry”, is one of the leading heavy machinery manufacturing enterprises. Its main products are used for poNHI-SHMCr metallurgy, rolling, mining, forging, rubber, cement, particle board, military and environmental protection industries. SHMC is located in Shenyang Tiexi District, which is well known as the China heavy industry base. Its occupation area is 770 thousand square meters; fixed assets 5.1billion yuan. There are 6138 employees in SHMC, including 567 technicians and 322 senior engineers. SHMC is able to manufacture 100, 000t steel; 40, 000t steel castings; 20, 000t forgings; 30, 000t steel structures; and 80, 000t machines annually. While in 2006, its output value was 4.2 billion RMB. With the continuous renovating, completing and expanding in the past 3 decades, SHMC had became an large–scale enterprise with a complete variety, strong capability, advanced technologies and the first-grade products in the 1980s. SHMC has been approved as a state-owned 2nd grade enterprise, the 1st metrological unit and an eligible company for import & export business and ranked the 272nd among top 500 enterprises in China in 1995. UP to now, the products designed and manufactured by SHMC has been over 1million tons. They are spread all over China and the world. 75% the products have reached the international level of the 1990s, more than 91 sorts of products are first designed and manufactured by SHMC at home and filled in the gaps for China machinery industry. SHMC has made a great contribution to our national economy and national defense.
