Kota Stone is a fine-grained variety of limestone, quarried at Kota district, Rajasthan, India. The rich greenish-blue color of this stone is most popular. It is preferred for flooring and wall cladding, paving and facades of buildings. This is because it has the unique properties of limestone. It is very tough, non water-absorbent, non-slip, non-porous and has excellent stain removability. Moreover, its resistance to wear and delamination is higher than other stones. It is available in different sizes and thicknesses. The varieties include Kota Natural, Kota Honed, Kota Polished, Kota Cobbles etc.
