The largest and the only one in the Republic of Belarus enterprise producing linen fabrics and articles RUPTE "Orsha linen mill" sets before itself the problem to save the natural peculiarity and beauty of flax. Linen mill has started its genealogy since 1930 when besides domestic craft Orsha Linen Millaving the industrial production of linen fabrics began in our Belarus primordial flax-growing region.

During its 80 years history a great, say, unique experience of work in the field of flax processing and natural linens production is accumulated at the enterprise. Having saved the traditions of linen weaving, today specialists try to go with the times, constantly work at improvement of technology, growth of quality. In 2004 System of quality management on correspondence to International standards series ISO 9001-2001 was implemented and certified in RUPTE "Orsha linen mill". The process of the equipment renewal does not stop, modern automated lines are bought and installed instead of outdated machines. It allows to diversify range of issued production more and more.

In March 2013 Orsha Linen Mill got international conformity certificate Oeko-Tex # 12.HBY.02843 Hohenstein for 100% linen and semi-linen (blend with cotton) fabrics for table- and bed-linen bleached and acidified that passed tests for conformity to ecological requirements of standard Oeko-TexRStandart 100 for products of class 2. The certificate is valid until 31.03.2014.

Now linen mill is rather a scaled production including 4 factories within which the complete cycle of conversion of flax fibre into sturdy fabrics takes place. Everything starts from initial processing of raw material and then, having passed the stages of spinning and weaving production, finishes by final decoration work of fabrics and sewing of ready made articles.

More than 5 thousand people work creating the richest range of linen articles. Such is the number of employees at the Orsha linen mill. Manufacturing capacity of the enterprise allows to process 25 thousand tons of linen fibre per year.

Our linen is bought in a lot of countries of the world. More than 65% of manufactured production is realized in the markets of the near and far abroad. Demand in linen has been increasing also in the home market. More and more people begin to prefer linen articles.

We have a wide choice of goods for our customers. List of issued production range exceeds 2000 specimens. All these are linen fabrics of different designs and colours, products of production - technical purpose, table linen, furnishing, clothes.

Over a period of many centuries our ancestors related to it with a great respect because they believed in its capability to protect against ailments, considered flax to be a symbol of purity and luxury.
