The Alpaca (Lama Pacos) is a gift from God for Peruvian People who are from the Highlands of Peru since time immemorial. This South American Camel has one of the finest fibers and its skin (fur) is highly prized in the world.
Peru is very Peruvian Highland Leather S. A. C.ll known as the Land of Alpacas because it is the country where there are more than 3 and a half millions of this noble specie which represents more than 70 per cent of the total existing population on land. An important part of that population is integrated by newborn alpacas or baby alpacas. Every year, many baby alpacas die in a natural way due to the cold, the illnesses and the attack by other animals. It is a big loss for the communities of the Highlands on the South of Peru who raise the alpacas since they can not use their main resource, the wool.
