Construction and maintenance Our QF Garnet has many unique and money saving advantages Superior cleaning rate - up to twice the performance of conventional abrasives, with more grains per volume (typical 20 million grains per kilogram) of active abrasive particles impacting the surface. You can achieve a rate of 15-25m2 per hour. Low consumption rates of 8-10kg/m2 are easily achieved. Recyclable more than 3 times under normal conditions because of its superior toughness and low friability (7.5-8.0 Mohs). You can expect a 65% reduction in garnet consumption when recycling. QF Garnet is ideally suited for all applications including: We offer a choice of grade to match any focusing tube and orifice for any given cutting application. QF Garnet 80 Mesh, the most popular water jet abrasive grade used worldwide, delivers the optimum balance of cutting speed and precision edge. For high speed cutting, we recommend QF Garnet 50 or 60 Mesh, which in some cases can deliver up to a 30% increase in cutting speed, but at the expense of a reduced precision edge. Where a high precision and minimum tolerance edge is required, we recommend QF Garnet 100 or 120 Mesh.
