Green tea is a popular type of tea known to the world as a healthy drink. In some parts of China and Japan, it has been used for medicines as well. One of the reasons for that is because it is made from tea leaves and buds(Camellia sinensis) that have not processed the same withering and oxidation process used to make Chinese oolong teas and British black teas. Its proven health benefits include lowering cholesterol, helping lose weight, and increasing cognitive abilities.
