Harost is a manufacturing company with rattan furniture as their main product. Starting out in 1983, Harost has been exporting furniture to almost every part of the world since 1984. Harost's creations are handmade by Indonesian craftsmen which produce high quality products, as a result of the careful handling.
A plus point of furnishings made from rattan is that they add a fresh & natural atmosphere and fit in almost every interior & exterior design scheme. Besides making furniture from PT. Harost Irmi own designs, Harost is pleased to accept customer's designs. As well as rattan furnishings, Harost sells ceramics and traditional tikar mats and other gif items.
Rattan (ra-tan') , climbing palm (Genera Calamus and Daemonorops) of tropical Asia. Rattan leaves, unlike those of most palms, are not clustered in a crown, and they have along barbed tips by which the plant climbs to treetops. Commercial rattan, atough, flexible cane of uniform diameter used for furniture, is obtained from the plant's long stem.
