  RAD Import and Export is a USA representative of White Gems Company. White Gems Company is one of the 12 companies in the Democratic Republic of Congo that has a license for export.  
  
  ARTISAN MINING HOW IT WORKS
  The artisan diamond mining industry works in a pyramid system. Approximately 700,000 artisan miners sell their diamonds to an estimated 100,000 negotiators, who then sell on to 12 licensed companies for export.  1. As a potential buyer you would have to obtain a working visa.
  2. To negotiate for the purpose of buying or selling rough diamonds you must have a Buying Card this card is issued by the Minister of Mines. YR.A.D. Import & Export has to be sponsored by someone who has a full diamond license in the Congo. Sponsorship will cost look at diamond buying charges. The cost of the Buying Card is $7,500 (Includes work permit, business visa, diamond buying card). The sponsorship and Buying Card is valid Jan. 1st-Dec 31st. Once you are sponsored and you have your Buying Card you can open your own buying office anywhere in the Congo. You can have many buyers representing you but you must each have a Buying Card. 3. Exportation is done buy the Kimberley Process Scheme.
  DIAMOND BUYING CHARGES
  4% for export tax on Kimberley Certificate, 2% of commission for diamond brokers, 1% for bank commissions
  White Gems Services 5% 3% 2%
  5% if you dont have a buying card or a sublicense holder (temporary services), 3% if you have a buying card with a sublicense, and using company services, 2 % if you hold a sublicense and operating in offices set up.
  The value of a sublicense is $ 25,000.00 US for �year + 2% on Kimberley Certificate. For 1 year, it costs $ 45,000.00 US, Local export taxes $ 1000. 00 US these charges are fix for any amount.
  4. If you want to export through Brinks or Ferrari, charges are $ 1,350.00 US with insurance
