From the 1st of August 2011 Radiátor Invest Kft. has taken over former activities (production, distribution) of ALURAD. ALURAD was established in 1970 as the radiator producing company unit of Lehel Hűtőgépgyár ( Lehel Refrigerator Factory). ALURAD produced aluminium radiators intended to house construction program. With the acquisition made in 1991. the predecessor of ALURAD – as a part of Lehel Refrigerator Factory Ltd. – came into the ownership of Electrolux. Since 1 December 1993 the company has been an independent company with the name "Electrolux Lehel Radiátor Gyártó- és Forgalmazó Kft. "( Electrolux Lehel Radiator Manufacturer and Trading Ltd. ) and has been a part of Electrolux Home Comfort division. On 1st of March 1998 Electrolux sold 100% of the business shares and passed the company. Since its establishment in 1970 the factory has produced aluminium radiators for hot and warm water heating systems that are being produced also today. The Radal type radiator was the first radiator produced and sold in large quantities, of which approx. 20 million m2 of heating surface has been installed in Hungary. In addition, significant quantities have also been exported. In the early 1990s Radal radiators Radiator Invest Alurad.hure followed by Radal Panel radiators, then versions with a new design, Electrolux Panel, and Electrolux Viking model, which was a new construction with significantly increased heating capacity. Currently these panel radiators are sold with the name ALURAD Panel and ALURAD Viking both in Hungary and on the international market.
