As a consequence, it is important that our Buying and Design teams are exposed to the main trend influences from the key fashion capitals across the world, with a particular focus on USA and Western Europe. Our teams also regularly travel to our European competitors; carry out UK market analysis and commentary; undertake international sample shopping trips; and visit trade fairs across the globe. As we develop and produce more and more product ourselves, on a direct sourcing basis, it is becoming increasingly vital to maintain this discipline, and to further develop our in-house Product Design and Development function.
