Company Description

S-TRADE MARKETING Pty Ltd is a family owned business base on Agriculture farming products and seeds. It was founded in 1996 by the late Dr. Mark together with his brothers Desmond and Crick and their sons and the sons of their youngest brother Frank who died in an accident in 1997, the company began operations from small scale farming in artmann Road, Kimberley, Northern Cape.

Initially, the company also owns a Seeds mill that was built on the artmann Road property with the crushing plant being commissioned in 1998. Three years later the solvent plant was commissioned and the seed receiving, rail siding, seed storage was completed.

In 1999 S-TRADE MARKETING Pty Ltd first diversification from small scale farming came when Dr. Mark realized that the company was limited to just 13000 tons of soy beans and with 18000 tons of combine crops like sunfloS-TRADE MARKETING PTY LTDr seed, sesame seed and maize per annum. A decision to expand and diversify the company was taken.

During this period, a new farmland was purchased in Northern Cape and Pietermaritzburg which became a new addition to the group and on transferring part of the workers to Pietermaritzburg to fast work the farms and installed a Soy bean plants and wrapping machines.

After successfully nursery and planting of our seeds products in 2001 to 2002, the seed crushing capacity was increased and the capacity required expansion.
In 2004 Dr. Mark and his son Records Mark Ashley traveled to Europe (UK) to view new technologies in refining and farming.  On 4 July 2005 Dr. Mark passed away suddenly and his dream of producing oil was not fulfilled up to that time and fulfilling that dream was an ambition of the Mark family.

The sons and grandsons of the late Dr. Mark currently run the business, continuing his vision to provide a quality product matched with quality service, to meet the needs of its customers at a reasonable price.
