The sponsors of the group have been in business since 1947. Mr. Yaqub alam established m / s the electric concern corporation in lahore, which is the ultimate name for the import & supply of electric equipment and industrial parts. Later, the energy poSarfraz Yaqub Groupr meter unit was established, which manufactures single-phase electric energy meters. In 1998, a new company under the name of m / s sarfraz yaqub textile mills (pvt) limited was incorporated. This company has been producing yarn to give the customers utmost satisfaction with best possible quality at most competitive prices. In a very short span of time the facility was upgraded / modernized with latest machinery and equipment. The production capacity was also increased. In 2004, the sponsors acquired an air jet weaving project comprising of state of art machinery producing millions of meters of greige fabric.
