Company Description

Saudi Chemical Company SCC was founded in 1972 as the first explosives company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and immediately served as the domestic provider of civil explosives for applications such as rock blasting for road cuts, foundations, trench blasting for oil and water pipe lines, tunneling for roads and for mining.By having a local producer of commercial explosives for domestic use, the Kingdom avoided many of the potential dangers and delays associated with importing and transporting explosives to the country. Furthermore, through its explosive Technical services, SCC introduced safe and reliable methods for blasting operations in urban and other inhabited areas. Since the production of explosives and detonators is an integral part of SCC activity, and consequently, the supply and use of explosives is very special in nature. SCC offers a wide range of technical services of high technological standard to its customers covering transportation, storage, technical reports, planning, on site services and direct assistance. To further improve the service to customers, SCC formed a Blasting Services Division to offer complete blasting services including drilling, blasting and follow-up. SCC also provides expertise on consultancy basis for blasting in delicate areas in both the planning and execution phases of projects.
