Shadeed Iron And Steel LLC, JSPL, have taken over Shadeed Iron & Steel LLC with effect from July 02, 2010. JSIS has commissioned its Direct Reduction Unit (DRI) of capacity around 1.5 Million tons per annum (Mtpa) for Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) and Hot DRI (HDRI) well ahead of Schedule on5th December&＃039;10 and Commercial production has started wef 1st January&＃039;11 We have land, a jetty with 2 nos Ship Loaders/Unloaders and other infrastructure. The jetty can handle incoming equipment and raw materials and shipping of finished products by large tonnage vessels Ongoing and Future Growth Second Phase expansion: We are in the advance stage of ordering Steel Melting Shop of 1.5 MTPA capacity with Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Furnace, Continuous Casting Machine and downstream rolling mills for the finished products depending on the Report of Market Survey. Third Phase Expansion: We shall invest for additional facilities to enhance our finished product capacity by another 2 MTPA to reach a final capacity of around 3.5 MTPA at the end of the third phase (Phase-2 + Phase-3). The finished products in the third phase will cover light, medium and heavy structural sections, wire rod. In the third phase we shall add a DRI module of capacity 2.2 Mtpa (bigger capacity than the existing one in the first phase), Steel Making Unit, Continuous Caster and Rolling Mills.
