Established in 1999, Shanghai Demao Building Material Co., Ltd. has become a comprehensive building material manufacturer. Shanghai Demao Building Material Co., Ltd. owns 3 building material manufacturing subsidiaries, producing resin borders, porcelain mosaics and crystal glass mosaics.

Our company is the first one which produces resin border products in China mainland market. Most of our products are in the term of OEM for the famous tile brand holders in China mainland, such as Champion, Asia.

With the brand of tile products - Manlady, we mainly focus on domestic market and reach totally CNY 90 million (about USD 12 million) annually.

We have been producing crystal glass mosaics since 2003. The crystal glass mosaics are mainly for export business (80%). Our regular sizes of crystal mosaics are 25x25x4mm, 23x23x8mm, 15x15x8mm, 48x48x8mm, 15x48x8mm, 23x48x8mm, and 98x98x8mm.

We have established a new factory producing porcelain mosaics since 2005. In the beginning of 2007, we developed new series of Jade Pure Color Product, which totally has 66 colors. The regular sizes are 11.5x11.5x7.5mm and 11.5x52x7.5mm.

Our glass mosaic factory is totally 5000sqm, and has 1000 employees. Our daily output of glass mosaics is about 1000sqm.

We have 6 steps for glass mosaic production, including:
1) Cutting from original glass sheets
2) Glazing
3) Pressing and cutting into small size
4) Burning in the kiln (our kiln length is 48M)
5) Chip collection
6) Examine and packing

We use imported glaze materials to offer the best color and quality. The color is stable and the thickness is uniform. We have a 5 people team of design study department which is especially in charge of developing new designs of mosaic combination.

Our porcelain mosaic factory totally covers around 7000sqm, and has 500 employees. Our factory specially produces high quality porcelain mosaic products. The daily output now is 800sqm, and we could reach 1000sqm.

We have 5 steps for porcelain mosaic production, including:
1) Press powder of molding (We have 3pcs of 300 ton auto-press machines)
2) Glazing
3) Burning in the kiln (our kiln is 68.8M) above 180 minutes under a high temperature of 1300
4) Chips collection; we also could make patterns with our 11.5X11.5 small size mosaics
5) Examine and packing

We use sprayed and dried powder of body mosaics which offer stable quality. We only purchase imported glaze materials from Italy, Germany, and Spain, which can offer stable color and nice quality. With 66 colors of jade pure color series mosaic, the small piece size could make pattern, and we also accept customers' design for pattern. These products could be used inside and outside, on walls and floors.

Our company got ISO9001 certificate in 2002, for resin border production. We now use ISO9001 standard to manage our glass mosaic factory and porcelain mosaic factory. We are going to apply ISO9001 for those two factories separately.

For mosaics, we do export business against domestic market at the rate of 8:2.

Exported Product Distribution
40% for Europe (Germany, Spain, Italy, and France); 15% for Australia; 30% for Asia (Korea, Japan, and Indonesia); and 15% for Africa (South Africa)

In 2008, we expanded the channel in China mainland, we used our own brand Gandi Mila in China.

We have one retailer store in Soule, Korea, owned by our Korea distributor.

We now have 15 retailer stores in China, most of which are in decoration now. We planned to open totally around 100 stores in 2008.
