Producing steel SOCIETE DE TRANSFORMATION DE METAUX - PAF - S.A.lded tube welded out of steel coils for more than twenty five years, PAF (Company of Metal Transformation) has been since many years now, the Tunisian leader and one of the largest African producers with a production of more than 40. 000 tons of tubes per annum of various sections and matters, in diameters ranging from 13 to 114 mm.
Employing more than 130 skilled workers and a staff management of high value, PAF continues to develop a policy of continuous training and improvement of competences.
As a main subsidiary company of group POULINA, one of the most important groups in Tunisia, PAF integrated last technologies of the tube to bring to its customers a total satisfaction in term of quality, service and time. Certified ISO 9002 since 1995, it has just finalized with high effectiveness the process of certification ISO 9001 version 2000.
The steel coils used by PAF are selected for their compliance with the standards in force and the quality standards required by the most demanding end users.
These steel coils come from certified ISO and universally recognized steel-mills.
In a durable spirit of development, PAF succeeded in setting up a pole of finishing of the tube: called Tubular department of PAF. This department of Shaping of the tube within PAF develops and manufactures a large range of welded and finished tube.
The engineers and technicians of the TUBULAR department of PAF, work in collaboration with their customers to bring to them the maximum of flexibility and efficiency in their work. They place at their disposal very sophisticated techniques with digital controls and conventional solutions capable to optimize the manufacturing process and to respect the most stringent deadlines. Paf exports towards more than 15 countries throughout the world, and benefits from excellent customers loyalty particularly in Europe (France, Italy, Germany) where expectations of the customers are very high.
Always with an aim of supporting the emergence of further products derived from the welded steel tube, which could offer a high value added, PAF comes to put in 2005 in place a factory for the production of the steel welded cold drawn tubes using its steel welded tubes. Annual output of this new plant is 5000 tons.
This constitutes an important opening for the products of PAF on new markets with important added value (automotive cars spare parts, mechanical sector, construction, etc) .
