Company Description

Somany Foam Limited, an ISO9001:2008certified company, a group company of Hindustan National Glass & Industries Limited (HNGIL), wish to diversify its area of operations from Packaging  to consumer durables, the first step out was taken when the group put up its first Polyurethane Foam plant in Haridwar (Uttarakhand) on October4, 2006.
 
HNGIL founded in1944,has carved a niche for itself in the Industrial map of India.  Over the years, it has grown multifold by over150times against all odds and problems confronting the industry. The company has its plants at Rishra near Kolkata, Bahadurgarh in Haryana, near Delhi, Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), Nasik (Maharashtra), and Pondicherry & Neemrana (Rajasthan).
 
The other industries under HNGIL Group companies are HNG Glassware units, HNG Float Glass, AMCL Machinery Limited, Glass Equipment (I) Ltd. (GEIL), &Somany Foam Ltd.(SFL)

Somany Foam Limited has a capacity of producing 10000 MT plus of Polyurethane Foam per annum and is equipped with best of machineries and equipment globally available today.
 
 
Foaming Machine:
 
The MAXFOAM F-8 2020, fully computer controlled, is a foaming machine for continuous production of flexible Polyurethane foam in flat topped blocks. The MAXFOAM machine works by the low pressure one-shot principle, by pumping components from their respective tanks through accurate metering equipment to a mixer head where they are intermixed by high speed stirring.
 
This MAXFOAMF-8 2020foaming machine is capable of producing 10 to 60 Density (Kg/cu.m) polyurethane foam blocks in widths up to2400mm and height up to 1400 mm. Being in-built high speed mixer, foam production is with minimum pin holes and finest quality foam. Advantage of computer controlled over other conventional foaming machine is: once the desired foam qualities is achieved with set formulations and satisfy the customer need then “FORMULATION CAN BE SAVED” and whenever the same quality foam is needed, can be produced with the same FORMULATION enable to achieve consistent in quality.
 
This MAXFOAM F-8 2020 foaming machine is fully automatic; computer controlled, flat maxtop arrangement and with variable tunnel widths - is the first machine installed in Asia pacific region at Somany Foam Limited. Apart from the best plant machineries, equipment and infrastructures, SFL is equipped with Somany Foam Limitedll qualified and trained technical team to produce quality products.
 
 
 
Peeling Machine (i.e. Looper):
 
 Fully automatic and Computer controlled supplied from ALBRETCH BAEUMER GmbH & Co., Germany, is the only kind of machine installed in India to accommodate 62.5 meters long block. Special feature of this machine is: JOINT comes after 62.5 meters, peels block continuously and capable of peeling 1.5mm to 30mm thickness without any risk of thickness variation. Advantageous to Laminators is as they get minimum joint as compared to other foam supplier in turn they save rejection of fabric.
 
Our normal and regular production in peeling is18 & 23Density foam. Laminator’s width requirements vary50”, 52”, 54”, 56”, 58”, 60”, 63”, 80” & 84”. Color is: White / Grey / Black.
Special foam for shoe industries:23D, 40D & 60D HARD is manufactured on order only.
 
In our peeled foam, Laminators have confirmed that there is NO THICKNESS VARIATION & LESS BURNING LOSS (observed during flame lamination) as compared to our competitors.
 
Shoe industry where our direct foam supply is – Action shoe, Liberty shoe, Lancer shoe and through Laminators regional shoe manufacturers.
Automobile industry where our foam supply is through Laminators.
 
Long Block Storage and Transport System:
 
From Ingenieria Del Poliuretano Flexible (IPF) of Spain. Handling a long block of 62.5 meters is a tedious job without a single manpower except person gives command to computer. SFL can maintain inventory of 200MT foam comfortably on any single day with this storage system. Presently 24 racks are there in which 24 blocks can be stored.
 
Processing / Cutting machineries:
 
 From ALBRETCH BAEUMER GmbH & Co., Germany and SUNKIST Machinery & Chemicals, Taiwan. SFL is having 2 Vertical cutting, 2 Horizontal slitting machines apart from special cutting machines like Contour cutting, Profile cutting, Boring & Peeling, Pillow edge cutting machines.
 
 
Quality Control / Laboratory Test:
 
SFL if equipped with complete range of testing equipment like Hardness Tester, Tensile Strength Tester, Elongation Tester, Shear Fatigue Tester, Thickness Tester, Measuring Scales, Block temperature testing probe, Heat & Humidity Ageing Tester / Chamber, Flammability Tester & Cell counter etc. Also we are assuring dimensional accuracy test 100% before dispatch the goods to destination.
 
Apart from the best plant machineries, equipment and infrastructures, SFL is equipped with well qualified and trained technical personnel to produce quality products.
 
Company cares the customer requirement especially for foam-quality and tolerance limit. From very beginning we are being given guidelines from the top management to follow and adhere with stringent quality norms keeping in view the customer requirements. Within very short span of time, on growing customer demand, we are operating on two shifts basis and likely to go for third shift too soon.
 
For transportation, company has their own fleet of transport with covered body, to cater goods in time and safe. Our endeavor is to cater the supply within 24 hours of getting order/s and accordingly company keeps inventory of all types foam.

Our other INDUSTRIAL products are Re-bonded foam in the range of 80 to 110 densities (which we make regularly on market demand). On order we may manufacture up to 160 Density foam too.
 
Our re-bonded plant is completely automatic, supplied by SUNKIST Chemical & Machinery Ltd., Taiwan. We make re-bonded foam with pure foam scrap + virgin chemicals (Polyol & TDI) curing with steam – not like other manufacturer who makes with bonded glue.
 
Our capacity is – 16BUNSper day of size: 77”x75”x thickness depending upon Density. In usual course for example 85D bun will be of 17” height.
