In 1991 the group of the persons has engaged in questions of improvement of technology of manufacture chitin and chitosan from Fast East of raw material - exoskeletons of the Kamchatka crab. The installation poSonat. Cor up to 10 tons per one year was created and the experimental batches of a product are made.

In 1993-1994 years parallel. with an operating time chitin and chitosan and perfection of technological process, Sonat Co. together with Committee of Underwater Works of the Special Assignment at Government of Russian Federation and Ministry on Extreme Situations of Russian Federation took part in one of the programs on application chitosan for localization of possible radioactivity with sinked of a submarine 'Komsomoletc'.

In 1996 Sonat Co. has taken part in 2-nd Asian - Pacific Ocean (Bangkok, Thailand), and in 1997 - in 7-th International (Lyons, France) Conferences on chitin and chitosan, where the quality submitted Sonat Co. chitosan has received a high estimation.

Now Sonat Co. together with SiTeChit Ltd. have made reconstruction of manufacture, by increasing its capacity up to 50 tons for one year.
