Company Description

State Electric Generator family owned company that has been in business sinse 1955. State Electric started off as Electrical Contractors & A Motor Rewind shop. When the son took over in the 1980's, focus turned to power generation. When things slowed down after Y2K, We started looking into other avenues to keep the money coming in. We picked up a line of electric scooters that were produced by an Italian manufacture we distributed generators for. We later replaced those with Gas powered pocket bikes and stand up scooters. We are always looking for more poducts, usually pertaining to power generation or small IC engines.
We do not manufacture any product, but are distributors for several manufactures and have a dealer network under us to help distribute our products.
The business has not only picked back up, but is doing better than ever. However, we do not feel a need to stop selling the scooters. They are a nice steady source of income and fun to deal with. There has also be talks to spin off the scooter business into its own company, due to the lack of man power caused by the rebound of the generation industry.
