Swenco has been a leader in the Safety Footwear Component Industry for close to 40 years. We are financially stable and continue to build high quality, Canadian made products. Quality Control

Quality Control comes first for a reason. It is the most important. At Swenco, we never forget that the products we make are certified safety components. There is an expectation and trust from our customers and the consumers that we do not want to let them down. With that in mind, the Swenco policy is to make one product for all standards, and we do this for a few reasons:

a) We like to sleep at night.
b) It saves us a lot of headaches when it comes to raw material purchasing and storing.
c) It saves our customers a lot of headaches, having to stock different toes and plates depending on standards.
d) It allows our customers to reduce their SKU count and have product that is easily shippable from market to market.
e) All in all...it removes a lot of the quality control problems associated with this type of product. You are not messing around with different heat treatments, etc.

The only real downside to this is that you may have a slightly more expensive toe/plate in one market than what is needed but then again...you can offset that by the benefit of being able to ship excess inventory from one market to another without worrying about it meeting the standards of that new market. That is a huge bonus for what amounts to pennies in savings.

Swenco also sets internal standards that exceed the industry norm. For example, the Swenco standard for plate penetration is 1250N. We will not ship it out if it does not exceed our standard.

Value Added Services

At Swenco, we are aware that there are competitors and constant price pressure from other suppliers. In order for us to set ourselves apart from the rest, we have to: Keep developing new technologies/products and offer Value Added Services that the rest can not.
