About Natural SoapSoap manufacturing in Aleppo is an ancient craft which goes back in tie hundreds of years. Zanabili family is as old as soap manufacturing and the craft goes from generation to generation and from father to son. The family has three factories for soap production in Aleppo.
TALAL AKARI & FIRAS AL OMAR CO. was built as a khan 320 years ago, and was transformed into a soap factory after about 120 years, still without any change in its structure.
The name Zanabili is very well known in the world of soap manufacturing, and because of its good reputation many soap producers use the family name as a mean of marketing their soap, though they do not relate to the family.
The soap is done by the traditional way, completely depending on hand labour. The year 1970s witnessed the transformation of small part of our production into pressed soap. Regarding the success achieved, new forms of pressed soap appeared, some by adding natural essences, such as: pine, mint and lemon
