Company Description

The TATA IMPORT EXPORT LTD is an Agro-Industrial Complex that grows, processes and markets tropical export crops. It operates in Cameroon in the Central African sub-region. It&＃039;s operations management is directed by a General Manager and governed by a Board of Directors also headed by a Chairman. Currently, its plantations cover a total of approximately 38, 000 Hectares of land and constitutes a workforce of over 9, 000 employees making it the second highest employer after the state of Cameroon. There are two Oil Mills located at Idenau and Mondoni which are also two major Palm Estates. The mills produce top quality Edible Oil and Palm Oil and Palm Kernels. The mills are managed by Mill Managers who are all engineers. They are closely supported by Mill Engineers and technicians in different respect in running the mills.The processing capacity of Mondoni Mill is 55tons/Hr while that of Idenau Mill is 35 tons/Hr. To keep the mills running for maximum output, a maintenance scheme is put in place and carefully folloTATA IMPORTd. We Produce edible Oil, Palm Oil, Bananas, Rubber and other minor crops TATA IMPORT EXPORT LTD cultivates other minor crops such as Vocanga, Coconut and Pepper, but of recent cultivation of these other crops were suspended in order to concentrate on improving on productivity of the major crops. However some coconut is still being grown in Mbonge and Pendamboko Estates. We started as a local producing company in 1974 and have so far grown to the peak in the business by 1995 when we became actively involved in international exportation of most our Palm oil Product and other Edible cooking Oils.We some times received supplies from other smaller companies in the country in order to satisfy the huge demands of our potential costumers. Most of our Oil is being exported to Europe where we have 2 potential buyers that receive almost all of our monthly supplies.
