Dr. Garcia received his formal medical training at the University of Massachusetts, Medical School followed by a internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Anesthesia both at Hahnemann Hospital in Phillidelphia, PA.Dr. Garcia moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1984 and began practicing as a Board Certified Anesthesiologist at Bayfront Medical Center, Edward White Hospital and Physicians' Community Hospital.In 1996, redirected his medical focus on alternative health care including pain management, chelation therapy and IV vitamins and anti-oxidants. He founded The Wellness Institute where he incorporates the best that medicine has to offer, traditional and alternative.Dr. Garcia holds certifications in Chelation Therapy from the American Board of Chelation Therapy, certification in Pain Mangement by the American Academy of Pain Management, and is a member of ACAM (American College for the Advancement of Medicine).
