Threadbare was started by a young woman fresh out of university who wanted to build a career for herself while uplifting local crafts. This involves innovating designs and presentation of products while maintaining its traditional qualities. At Threadbare each product is made by hand with individual care, each product is unique. Handmade products are special because each product has a story behind it and each product has an individual involved with it. Each product sold makes a difference in their lives. It's not that the money is not important, ofcThreadbarese it is, we are trying to run a business here, but the individuals involved make it much more fulfilling.
