ZEOVITA GmbH is a relatively young German company developing and producing innovative fertilizer. It was Zeovita GmbH intention to develop a fertilizer based on quite new Idea. It should be consisting of natural substance, containing no usual chemicals which give up residues harmful to human, animal and environment. Keeping that in mind, the CO2 must be supplied to the plants from inside the leaves. Natural dolomite that contains CO2 in bond form is micronized in High-Tech-Nano mills to very fine powder, LITHOVIT. Once it is suspended in water and sprayed on the leaves, the particles penetrate through the stomata pores into the intercellular compartment and set there CO2 free according to a physicochemical reaction at the cell membrane.Not all LITHOVIT particles penetrate at once through the stomata. Most of them remain as thin layer on the leaves surface and penetrate frequently when they get wet by dew at night. LITHOVIT is so acting as quasi depot supplying the plants over long time with CO2 at optimum concentration for the photosynthesis.LITHOVIT is recommended by the European Community for organic farming.LITHOVIT has been very successfully applied over 3 years in more than 60 countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia, North South America and Africa. The successful trials have been done in many different crops such as most vegetables and fruits, melons, potatoes, hop, rape, grapes sugarcane as well as the traditional crops like wheat, barely, rice, maize etc. Wherever Lithovit was used, it gave excellent results. In each application only 1.2 - maximum 1.5 kg suspended in 300 litre water is enough for 1 hectare (10000 sq. meter). Maximum 4.5 kg / hectare during the whole growth period leads to higher yield (up to 30% depending on crop and soil condition) and quality improvement so that the income increase is far, far more than the extra cost of lithovit.
