• Zhuzhou Rubber Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd. Of Chemchina was established in 1964. It is the only specialized research institute in China's latex industry and one of the key enterprise for production of Military-Supporting Rubber products for Defense Department. The national Quality Inspection Laboratory for Rubber Condoms and rubber products Quality Supervision and Testing Center also are set up in the institute. At present, there are about 300 staffs in the institute including 100 technicians. Among them, there are eight staffs with rights to enjoy special government allowances.
  Zhuzhou Rubber Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd. Of Chemchina Institute mainly specialized in R&D and production of latex products, special rubber products and high molecular synthetic materials. Currently, it has formed an operation pattern supported by three major categories of products: Meteorological Balloon, Synthetic Latex and Special Rubber Products, which have promoted its innovative ability and realized rapid development. Its annual production capacities for large size sounding balloon and synthetic latex are 500,000 pcs and 5000t respectively; annual production value of special rubber products has reached to RMB 5 Million Yuan. External services include Commission Testing, Arbitration Testing, Technical Service and Compulsory Certification of rubber and latex products as well as research and production of relevant testing equipment of rubber condoms, and balloon model advertisement, etc.

Thinking globally, the institute actively promoted international business strategy of CHEM CHINA; its products have walked to the world market successfully, such as Russia, USA, Korea, France, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Pakistan, etc. Meteorological balloons coming from Zhuzhou, China, have occupied a certain part of the global market. In 2008, the institute made a major breakthrough in export business, which realized an increase of more than 8 times, and actualized an average annual increase rate of more than 100%.
